Greenbelt SA Select Rec and Travel Teams
Greenbelt Soccer Alliance supports select rec and travel teams (ones that require a tryout) at ages no younger than U11. Prior to this age, following USSF best practice guidelines, we enter teams exclusively in the pure recreational, small-sided soccer league hosted by Prince Georges Soccer Initiative (PGSI) in Hyattsville. At U11/U12 we support pure recreational teams, select Rec and Travel teams. The select rec teams play in the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association while the travel teams have access to such leagues as the Baltimore Beltway Soccer League and the National Capitol Soccer League depending on team skill level and desire. Pure recreational teams have access to PGSI up to grade 8 and the Takoma Soccer League for higher grades.
