- Register as a coach with Maryland State Youth Soccer Association.
- Read the blog entry on coaching for development versus coaching to win and consider these ideas in your own coaching.
- Take a look at our coaching resource page . If you are coaching in PGSI, you will receive practice plans by email and we will follow these plans for the Monday and Wednesday practices. For coaches of older teams, you have many choices with the easiest one being the Youthsoccer101 plans that will be emailed to you automatically each week during the season.
- Take the US Soccer Grassroots course which you can access by registering at the US Soccer Digital Coaching Center. This is the introductory course for the grassroots sequence with US Soccer and introduces. It is an online course and takes 2-3 hours to complete. Following that you are ready to take one of the format
- Look through the calendars of coaching classes offered by MSYSA, VYSA, United Soccer coaches that can be found on our coach resources page (access the coach education links) and find a course that fits your team's level and sign up! We will reimburse the cost of coach education up to the MSYSA D license.
